Endeavor: VP of Development

Description
The VP of Development will be responsible in leading New York capital raising and development activities for Endeavor Global (U.S.Headquarters), yielding $3 million in annual revenues. To expand and implement a fundraising
strategy focused on two major areas:
1) Cultivating and managing a network of high-level individual donors, family offices
2) Leading Endeavor’s annual Gala event in New York City and other east coast
stronghold.

Responsibilities include:

Major Gifts & Individual Donors
• Work with CEO, Board Members & GAB to cultivate & secure new donors
• Cultivate, develop and manage donor relationships with high-level individuals and family foundations based predominantly on the East Coast
• Work with Marketing and Entrepreneur & Partner Services to create customized donor opportunities for supporting Endeavor and engaging with its global network
• Develop new products and tools for effective individual fundraising.
• Develop “membership” based opportunities to expand donor network and generate a recurring revenue stream.
Special Events
• Lead and manage the annual Endeavor Gala in NYC, raising over $2.5 million/year
• Plan & execute east coast salons to cultivate individual donors and tap board members’ and GAB’s greater networks, working with Development/Events Manager
• Develop event-based Fundraising strategy & best practices that can be used by other Endeavor
offices and Affiliates worldwide.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of relevant experience with proven ability to close major sources of new funding and established relevant networks.
• Highly charismatic, personable individual with ability to inspire and persuade others
• Passion for private-sector development and emerging markets
• Ability to relate to top-level individuals in Endeavor’s network as well as to introduce new contacts and networks to Endeavor
• Exceptional communicator with the ability to present the organization in a highly professional, organized manner
• Ability to bring his/her own networks of contacts to the organization as well as to serve as a liaison to Endeavor’s existing network of top US-based donors
• Understanding of impact measurement tools and ways donors like to be recognized
• Strong intuitive and analytical sense enabling quick and effective action
• Team-oriented, collegial, collaborative with a demonstrated ability to work with flexibility,
efficiency and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment
• Experience raising capital within the private equity or hedge fund space a plus
• Bachelors degree required
